The right small tin glazed earthenware plate commemorating the birth of William of Orange, the 400 years anniversary and decorated in shades of blue in the center with “Een Rots in de Branding” (A rock in the surf.) with the decoration of a Posthorn. (Posthorn is the Family coat of Arms) In the top WvO for Willem van Oranje. In the top of the rim . 1533. 24 APRIL. 1933 and in Latin:
Saevis * Tranquillus * in * Undis. (Calm in the savage waves)

Employment dates: June 6th 1887 - 1938

The small left plate decorated in shades of blue in the center with the decoration of the coat of arms with a Posthorn. (The Posthorn is the Family coat of Arms) between WvO = Willem van Oranje above a banderol with  1533. 24 APRIL. 1933 . The rim with floral swags with the Apples of Orange.
Signed on the back in underglaze blue for:

NB. Crack in the plate under right. and glued chip
Prince William of Orange of the Netherlands started the independence war against Philips II of Spain.
