The tin glazed earthenware plate decorated in shades of blue with two men discussing in a Dutch cloudy landscape with two windmills and in the top the text:
Zou ’t Klaren ? (Will it clear up ?)  & under in the center the date 1917. The rim with the orange coloured patriotic apples of Orange. (Royal family)

Signed on the back in underglaze blue for:
DE PORCELEYNE FLES  - ROYAL DELFT
DELFT - HOLLAND  & AM  =  1917
Painter’s initials: VL  =  Jan van Lijnschooten.
Employment dates: Sept. 16th 1889 – 1935
