Large Rare Antique Dutch Blue & White Royal Delft Hand Painted Charger - 1908

The very rare large tin glazed earthenware charger, a so called cart wheel, decorated in shades of blue with four birds under a flowering plant. The rim decorated with symmetric and floral motifs. Signed on the bottom in underglaze blue for:
DE PORCELEYNE FLES - ROYAL DELFT 
DELFT - HOLLAND & AD = 1908.
Painter’s initials: JV = Johannes Dominicus van Velzen
Employment dates: 1 Nov. 1886 – 1938
Impressed mark: Joost Thooft & La Bouchere in a circle.
