The very rare tin glazed earthenware plate marking the raid of the Russians in Hungary after the Hungarian uprising. Decorated in shades of blue with a flowering tree surrounded with attacking serpents. (Snakes attack the tree of Life). On the rim the text:
HET KWAAD OVERHEERST VAAK – DOCH OVERWINT NIMMER & 1956. and floral swags. (Evil often predominates – but never conquers)
