Dutch Blue & White Royal Delft Charger with Portrait Frans Hals, The Laughing Cavelier - 1974

The tin glazed earthenware rimmed charger decorated in shades of blue with a portrait of a merchant, known as De Lachende Cavalier by Frans Hals.  (Nowadays Wallace Collection London, 83 x 67,3 cm.)  The rim decorated with floral motifs.

Signed on the back in underglaze blue for:
