Blue & White Royal Delft Commemorative Plate. 40 Years Queen Wilhelmina 1898 - 1938

The tin glazed earthenware plate decorated in shades of blue with the crowned W and 1898 - JE  MAINTAINDRAI  - 1938  (I will survive.)  for Queen Wilhelmina commemorating 40 years Queen of the Netherlands. The rim with leaves and flowers and an orange rim as symbol for the Royal Family (=Van Oranje.)

Signed on the back in underglaze blue for:
