Antique Dutch Blue & White Royal Delft Commemorative Plate. Leiden University - 1925.

The small tin glazed earthenware plate commemorating the 350th years anniversary  of the Leiden university, the oldest university in the Netherlands. The centre decorated in shades of blue with the Academie building on the Rapenburg with the red, white & blue coloured flag. In the rim the text: ACADEMIA LUGDUNO - BATAVA   1575 VIII FEB 1925.  (De Universiteit Leiden / University)

Signed on the back in underglaze blue with:
