The 17th century style tin glazed earthenware ribbed Double-Gourd Vase (Bottle) in the 17th century tradition decorated in red, blue and gold, in the “Adriaan van Pijnacker” Delft Doré tradition, with flowering peonies on rockwork between stylized decorations. Signed on the bottom in underglaze blue and red for:
DE PORCELEYNE FLES  -  ROYAL DELFT
DELFT – HOLLAND  &  CK  = 1966.

Painter’s initials: JBR  = Mrs. J. Breedveld.
Employment dates: 1962- 1986  

Height: 38 cm.  (15 inches.)
Weight: 1.583 grams.     
  

In the second part of the 17th century, Dutch traders brought Japanese porcelain to Holland, some of which was decorated in colours.. Called Kakiemon and Imari. It used red, blue and gold and was copied by a few of the Dutch Delft factories at the beginning of the 18th century. The most famous was Adriaan Pijnacker. Royal Delft page 215.
