De Porceleyne Fles Delft Blauw Crisisbord met de Kweker - 1940 Al Mijn Werken is om niet als de Hope mij Ontvliedt.

The center of the tin glazed earthenware plate decorated in blue with a man cutting branches in a greenhouse and 1940 surrounded with the text:
DE KWEKER SPREEKT:  “AL. MIJN WERKEN IS OM NIET ALS DE HOPE MIJ ONTVLIEDT.” (The grower says: All my labours will be in vain if I lose my hope.) The rim decorated with stylized motifs.
Signed on the back in underglaze blue for:
DE PORCELEYNE FLES - ROYAL DELFT
DELFT - HOLLAND  &  BJ  = 1940
