The tin glazed earthenware plate made for the 650 years memorial of the city Amsterdam. (1275-1925). Decorated in shades of blue within the center the “cog”, a medieval sailing vessel used for trade on the East-Sea and with two Amsterdam flags and a banner, a Knight with on his shield the Coat of Arms of Henegouwen, a second person and a dog looking over the railing, as found in Old Wax Seals of the medieval city Amsterdam. In the top of the rim in a banderol : 1275 AMSTERDAM 1925
The plate is designed by Piet Senf.
Signed on the back in underglaze blue for:
