The fine tin glazed earthenware rimmed charger decorated in shades of blue with a 17th century Dutch warship on sea that fires a salute.
Under right naar v.d. Velde
Painted after the famous oil painting from Willem van de Velde de Jonge. “Het Kanonschot” circa 1680, in the collection of the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. (The cannon shot after Willem van de Velde the Younger.
Leiden ca 18 Dec. 1633 – April 6th 1707 in Greenwich- London) The rim decorated with floral motifs.
Signed on the bottom in underglaze blue for:
