Meer informatie aanvragen

This Austrian cold painted bronze image displays an authentic Franz Xaver Bergmann cold-painted bronze figurine, specifically depicting a young boy or "lad" preparing coffee while seated on a Persian carpet.  This piece is known for its intricate detail and vibrant colours, characteristic of Bergmann's work.
Franz Xaver Bergmann (1861–1936) was a renowned Austrian foundry owner celebrated for his cold-painted bronze figures, particularly those with Oriental, erotic, and animal themes.  The figurine features a brazier, coffee pots, and goblets, illustrating the coffee preparation process.
Authentic Bergmann pieces are often identified by a specific stamp, either a 'B' within an urn-shaped cartouche or 'Nam Greb' (Bergmann spelled backward).
This figurine is marked with the B in the double handled urn and 15.
