Vintage French Wooden JAPY Coffee Grinder

The square wooden coffee grinder with wooden drawer inside. The top with a scalloped edge, iron top with iron movable part front and iron handle with wooden finial. There is a corner missing from the top of the grinder, though the breakage seems old. Also repair on the handle. In the front a metal hexagonal sign with JAPY for:

Japy Freres & Cie. supplied movements for some of France's greatest sculptures like Léon Messagé, Alfred-Emmanuel-Louis Beurdeley The business continued after his death. This grinder was manufactured at around 1930
