Rare Dutch Royal Delft Polychrome Cloisonné Plate. The Sewer and Coat of Arms of Breda.

The Delft majolica cloisonné plate decorated in colours in the center with a sewing man on a plowed field. On the back the rising sun and the coat of arms from the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the coat of arms of the city Breda. On the rim the cast text:

ALLE WERK IS VERGEEFS, TENZIJ VOOR GOD and some crops. (All work is in vain, except for God.)
Marked on the back with the impressed factory mark for:
DE PORCELEYNE FLES - ROYAL DELFT
DELFT - HOLLAND.   –      ANNO  1945.  
and HERINNERING AAN:
J.M. VAN IERSEL GEDEL. COMMISSARIS EN DIRECTEUR
N.V. KWATTA BREDA  1905 – 15 JUNI 1945
