The earthenware plate decorated in the 18th century tradition in sepia as Encre de Chine with a Dutch Brown sailing vessel, a so called Damloper, a 16th/17th century name for a small freigher with a flat bottom. The rim with stylized ornaments and ’n Damloper. Signed on the back in underglaze black for:
