The round cloisonné tile decorated in colours  with a windmill (Bovenkruier) in a Dutch landscape.

Marked on the back with: 

WESTRAVEN  -  UTRECHT.

         Made in Holland.

Januari 31th 1661 Van der Schilde & Pothuysen started de “pannenbakkerij” in  Utrecht on the “Vaartse Rhine“ for the production of roof tiles. Later they also produce wall tiles   & interior items.  After 1945 they are bought by De Porceleyne Fles.( Royal Delft ) and in 1994 the factory moves to Delft, part of Royal Delft and than only production with transfer technique.
