The rare set of two Dutch hand painted blue & white Delft tin glazed earthenware vases on a square base decorated in shades of blue with four rotating panels with windmills and Dutch brown sailing vessels under geo-metric motifs and the round baluster shaped top with stylized flowers in the Art Nouveau style.
Signed on the bottom in underglaze blue for:
DE PORCELEYNE FLES  -  ROYAL DELFT
DELFT - HOLLAND &  W = 1901

Painter’s signature: VL = Theodorus Antonius Bernardus van Lingen.
Employment dates: 28 March 1893 -1945
Als impressed mark for JT & L (J. Thooft & Labouchere.)
