Rare Antique Dutch Blue & White Royal Delft Hand Painted Plate with a Windmill. KAAGWEEK - 1923. SOLD


The tin glazed earthenware plate decorated in shades of blue with a windmill and Dutch brown sailing vessels in the Gemeente Kaag & Brasem with the text:  KAAGWEEK  1923. The rim decorated with floral motifs. Made for the annual sailing competition at the KAAG (Holland, Near Leiden.) 
These smaller 18 cm. (7,1 inches) plates were made for sale, the larger 22,5 cm
(8,9 inches) plates as first, second or third price.
