Antique Dutch Blue & White Royal Delft Plaque. City DELFT - 1901. SOLD


The hand painted rectangular tin glazed earthenware plaque decorated in shades of blue with a view of the city Delft with the Nieuwe Kerk and the tower of the Oude Kerk, surrounded with floral and geometric motifs.Under  centre: DELFT.

Signed on the back in underglaze blue for:

Painter  AG =  Andreas Petrus Guerrain      

Employment dates: June 6th 1887 - 1938

Impressed  mark: Joost Thooft & La Bouchere in a circle.

N.B. Corner under left restored.
