Verry Rare Blue & White Royal Delft Commemorative Plate 1928 - 9th Olympic Games Amsterdam

The tin glazed earthenware plate made for the 9th Olympic Games in Amsterdam 1928. The center decorated in shades of blue with the crowned tower of the Wester Church & 1928 with the banners of the Olympic games and the Netherlands. The rim with rotating stylized flowering leaves and the slogan:

ALTIUS CITIUS FORTUS IX e OLYMPIADE
The plate is designed by Leon Senf.
Only 500 plates were produced.
Signed on the back in underglaze blue for:
DE PORCELEYNE FLES - ROYAL DELFT
DELFT - HOLLAND  &  AX   =  1928

Two painters worked on this plate.
Painter: JV = Johannes Dominicus van Velzen
Employment dates: 1 Nov. 1886 - 1938

Painter: AG  = Andreas Petrus Guerrain
Employment dates:               June 6th 1887 – 1938
N.B. Minor damages on the glaze on the back and some minor spots on the front.
