Small Dutch Orange, Blue & White Royal Delft Commemorative Plate. 40 Years Queen Wilhelmina 1898 - 1938.

The tin glazed earthenware plate decorated in shades of blue in the center with the crowned W and surrounded with floral swags and stylized flowers for Queen Wilhelmina commemorating 40 years Queen of the Netherlands The rim with floral swags with the orangecoloured Apples of Orange and as symbol for the Royal Family (Van Oranje) and the text:
WILHELMINA 1898 – 1938 JE MAINTAINDRAI

Signed on the back in underglaze blue for:

DELFT - HOLLAND  &  BH = 1938.
