Small Dutch Blue & White Royal Delft Saying Plate. By Willem Bilderdyk - 1956

The tin glazed earthenware plate decorated in shades of blue with in the center a flower and surrounded with in the rim stylized leaves and the text:
*Zoo iemand deugd of wysheid heeft*
*Het is Gods goedheid, die ze geeft*
(If anyone has virtue or wisdom. It is God's goodness that gives them) By Willem Bilderdijk 1756 – 1831. ( Dichtwerken deel 7 1857)

Signed on the back in underglaze blue for:
