The tin glazed earthenware plate commemorating the 1968 Apollo 8 mission with the first men around the moon. The centre decorated in shades of blue with  the moon and the earth , several holly leaves and the names ; Borman , Lovell & Anders and the text: FIRST  MEN  AROUND  THE  MOON . The rim with stylized leaves and the dates  21- 12  1968   27 – 12  

Signed on the back in underglaze blue for:

Painter’s initials: ABO  =  A.H. Borremans.
