Rare Antique Dutch Blue & White Royal Delft Commemorative Plate Diamond Sculls - Henley Royal Regatta - 1921

The tin glazed earthenware plate commemorating the winning of the Diamond Sculls on the River Thames in Henley by Frits Eyken 
Decorated in shades of blue with two oars above an oak tree above waves with the Dutch text:
Dat Eyken de roem van Henley Wordt
      Moet toch op een Delftsch bord
                     2 Juli 1921

The rim with stylized leaves

De trotse roeiploeg, met Frits Eyken (1893 – 1978) de acht van De Maas, (Rotterdam) die na een succesvol seizoen in Nederland in 1921 werd uitgezonden naar Henley, waar zij de Diamond Scullls op de Theems de Henley Royal Regatta wonnen.
