Rare Antique Blue & White Royal Delft Professional Plate The Lawyer - 1919

The tin glazed eathenware “Professional” plate decorated in shades of blue with two men and a  sitting lawyer, in a room with books & naar Jan Luiken surrounded by the text: De Advokaat  Het stof en slijk der aard, En is den twist niet waard. (The Lawyer. The dust and slime of the earth and is the quarrel not worth.) and a rim with stylized flowers. After  an engraving by Jan & Kasper Luyken: Spiegel van ’t menschelijk bedryf.  Honderd verscheiden Ambachten - Amsterdam Anno 1767
