The tin glazed rimmed earthenware plate commemorating the birth of (crown) Princess Beatrix, the first daughter of the crown princess Juliana and Prince Bernhard. Decorated in shades of blue with in a roundel a Dutch landscape with flagged buildings and a sailing vessel and in the front the tree of Orange with an orange-coloured Orange, as symbol for the Royal Family (Princess of Orange) and

The rim decorated with floral swags.
