The tin glazed earthenware plate decorated in shades of blue with a flooded Dutch landscape with shining sun behind a fence with barb wire. Surrounded with the text:
NEDERLAND ZAL HERRIJZEN.   5 MEI 1945.  (The Netherlands will revive.  End of World War II.) in a rim with orange-coloured stylized flowers as symbol for the Royal Family
(House of Orange.)                     

Plate designed by Marijnissen. (1920-1958.   Painter & Designer)
Signed on the back in underglaze blue for:
DE PORCELEYNE FLES  -  ROYAL DELFT
DELFT - HOLLAND & BO = 1945.
