The center of the tin glazed earthenware plate decorated in blue 
with a Dutch brown sailing vessel in stormy water on sea. Under in the surf: 1933. In the rim floral swags and the text:
EEN WIJS BELEID ALLEEN 
STUURT DOOR DE BRANDING HEEN. (Only wise leadership will guide us through the surf.)
Signed on the back in underglaze blue for:
