The tin glazed earthenware plate commemorating the 70th anniversary of Emma of Waldeck and Pyrmont, Former Queen of the Netherlands and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg and later regent of her daughter Wilhelmina, during the latter’s minority from 1890 - 1918. Decorated in shades of blue within the center a crowned flower wreath with a heart and EMMA and under
1858 - 2 AUG’s - 1928 
surrounded on the rim with the text:
VAN HART TOT HART between floral swags.
Signed on the back in underglaze blue for:
DE PORCELEYNE FLES   -   ROYAL DELFT
DELFT  -  HOLLAND   Anno 1928
Painter’s initials: VB  = Willem Alexander Karel Hendrik Frederik van Baarsel.
Employment dates: June 30th, 1893 - 1948.
