The tin glazed earthenware plate decorated in shades of blue with a landscape and a windmill with dark sky. Dated under in the plate October 1918.  (Almost end of the Great War = 11:11 Nov. 11)
De dageraad begint te blinken - OCT. 1918  (The daylight begins to dawn / appear.) The rim with the blue-coloured patriotic Apples of Orange. (Symbol for the Royal Family – Van Oranje.)

Signed on the back in underglaze blue for:
DE PORCELEYNE FLES - ROYAL  DELFT
DELFT - HOLLAND  - ANNO 1918
Painter’s initials: JL = Jan Willem Lispet.
Employment dates:  Aug. 9th, 1887 - 1938
