The center of the antique tin glazed earthenware plate decorated in shades of blue in a roundel with a lighthouse on a stormy sea with Dutch brown sailing vessels entering the harbour and in the front a man in a rowing boat.In the dark cloud on the left written CRISIS and on the right cloud OORLOG. (War). Surrounded with in the top *1921* and under:
Slechts door arbeid, tot het licht.   1921. (Only through labour will we get to the light.)
The rim with rotating stylized flowers and floral swags.

Signed on the back in underglaze blue for:
DE PORCELEYNE FLES  - ROYAL DELFT
DELFT - HOLLAND  &  AQ = 1921
