The tin glazed earthenware plate decorated in shades of blue with the former townhall on the Kerkbrink in Hilversum. (Nowadays Museum Hilversum.)  
Op het bordes van het toenmalige gemeentehuis, nu Museum Hilversum, zwaaiden de 
koningin Wihelmina en de prinses Juliana lachend naar de inwoners van Hilversum.
In the top a banderol with:

Signed on the back in underglaze blue for:

Painter’s initials: VP  = Petrus Franciscus Vreeswijk
