The tin glazed earthenware  oval platter decorated in shades of blue with two Dutch brown sailingvessels and a windmill in a Dutch landscape in a cartouche and surrounded with stylized flowers & ELB  ANNO 1575 (= Heirs / Erven Lucas Bols - Amsterdam Anno 1575.) the oldest  Genever distilled  brand LUCAS BOLS in Amsterdam, established in Amsterdam in 1575.

Signed on the bottom in underglaze blue for:

DE PORCELEYNE FLES - ROYAL DELFT

DELFT - HOLLAND & AD  = 1908

Painter’s initials: TD  =  Lambertus ten Dam    

Employment dates: 1890 - jan. 1919.
