The Orleans type pewter flagon with a sunken lid and handle. Thumbpiece with twin-acorn. Single-hinge. Marked on the outside bottom with the casters mark for: 

PIERRE CASTERA (1693 - 1750) Pewter, silver and goldsmith in Orleans.
