The early pewter measure for the metric system. On the handle the inscription: NED. KAN (premetric) and (LITRE). Marked on the outside of the bottom with the crowned Tudorrose and initials I.V.E. for Jacobus van Engelen, working in Den Bosch from 1824 - 1848. Under the rim circa 16 verification marks, H = 1852 till X = 1916 & 1 check mark from J. Everts, Den Bosch 1820 - 1865
