The engraving shows the Heerenlogement ( Hotel for high officials ) on the Grimburgwal.. It was built in 1646 by Philip Vingbooms. Amalia van Solms, Peter the Great and the Dutch Governour and king of England William III were sleeping here. Also used as seen on the engraving for auctions of paintings
