Antique Russian 19th Century Folding Bronze Triptych with Deësis

The three hinged rectangular panels cast in bronze decorated with Maria, Jesus and John the Baptist, a so called Deësis. Deësis (Greek = δέησις) means prayer, supplication or worshipping and the name of a Cristianrepresentation of three figures, you often see in the usual iconography of the East European Church. The front with a cross in a circle and several symbolic decorations.
