Antique German18th Century Nuremberg Nested Cup-Weight for 2 Pound. SOLD


A fine German Nuremberg brass nest of weights. The hinged shaped hasp and rimmed hinged lid marked with the maker’s mark, a griifin with P.R. and  2  for two Pound. With a rimmed body with punched decorations. The inside bottom with a 1 for one  pound. Enclosing seven  further smaller weights, 16, 8, 4, 2 and 1 lood, the last two unmarked and the smallest not original. The closing weight is missing.
