Antique Dutch 18th Century Brass and Copper Tobacco Box

The brass hinged lid and bottom engraved with bible scenes from the New Testament with Jesus on the cross. In the corners floral swags and in the roundes the text:

Komt Christi mans en vrouwe - Ook U een Korte tijd U ogen hierop houwe.

Come Christ man and woman , You too to keep your eyse  a short time on this.

De bottom with Jesus brought in his grave and the text:

Denkt u eens leddig wat hij heeft uit gestaan Dat geen zondig mens verloren zoud gaan.

Please think how He suffered for us, so no sinfull human wold be lost.

On the copper sides the text: 

Wie leeft er nu ter tyt  Die het enkel gaat om benijt.
Who lives now in this time, who is only to be envious.
