Antique Japanese Kakiemon Arita Porcelain Bowl.


The five-petalled brown edged porcelain bowl with deep curving sides standing on a straight circular foot and decorated in the Kakiemon palette with a flowering prunus with a perched bird, a small flying bird and flowering bamboo on rockwork. The inside decorated twice with two  large and a small flowering plants and two flying insects.  On the bottom a Dresden carved inventory Johanneums number  N : 19 , from the inventory of August II, King of Polen and Kurfürst of Sachsen , from the porcelain collection in the “Japanischen Palast zu Dresden.”
