Antieke De Porceleyne Fles Wandschotel met Zelfportret van Rembrandt - 1905. VERKOCHT


The antique in glazed earthenware rimmed charger decorated in shades of blue with a self portrait of Rembrandt with 34 years - Anno 1640 (Nowadays collection National Gallery London, 102 x 80 cm.) Next to the portrait naar Rembrandt. The rim decorated with floral motifs. The painting looks like the portret of Titian’s portrait by Gerolamo Barbagio, owned by the Portugese art dealer Allfonso Lopez in Amsterdam.
Signed on the bottom in underglaze blue for:

Impressed mark: Joost Thooft & La Bouchere in a circle
Two painters worked on this “painting on clay.”
