Antique Dutch Blue & White Royal Delft Hand Painted Plate with a Paltrok Mill - 1901. SOLD


The tin glazed earthenware plate decorated in shades of blue with a windmill  (Paltrok Wip-mill) on a waterfront in a Dutch landscape. The rim decorated with stylized floral motifs.

Signed on the bottom in underglaze blue for:

DE PORCELEYNE FLES - ROYAL DELFT  

DELFT - HOLLAND & W = 1901 

Two painters worked on this plate:

Painter’s initials: VB  = Willem van Baarsel      

Employment dates: 1893 - 1944 or 1945.

Painter: PD  =  Petrus Leonardus Dijkman

Employment dates: 11 April 1882 - 1922 

Impressed  mark: Joost Thooft & La Bouchere  in a circle.
