The center of the tin glazed earthenware plate decorated in blue with a sailing vessel taking down the sails and entering an harbour. In the rim with stylized floral swags in the top the text:
Door Sa’am te Overleggen – En’t Goede Woord te zeggen.   1922

Painter’s initials: VB  =  Willem Alexander Karel Hendrik Frederik van Baarsel.
Employment dates: June 30th 1893 - 1944 or 1945.
