Blue & White Royal Delft Plate Melbourne Race KLM De Uiver Douglas DC 2 - 1934. SOLD


The tin glazed earthenware plate decorated in shades of blue with in the center  the flying airplane PH - AJU, a DOUGLAS DC 2, DE UIVER, over the map from England untill Australia in the MacRobertson  Londen - Melbourne air race from october 20th -24th. 1934.19.877 km in 90 hours & 17 minutes and the text:

Het “Safety First” der KLM  -  De UIVER Nooit vergat. Op hem nu gaat, Trots de Komeet elk Nederlander prat.( The Comet = the first arrival.) The rim with some floral swags and the text:
