Dutch Blue & White Delft Royal Commemorative Charger - Beatrix 1980. SOLD


The tin glazed earthenware charger commemorating the Accession of Queen Beatrix.  Decorated in shades of blue with the crowned coat of arms of the Netherlands hold by two lions standing on leaves with the apples of Orange ,surrounded with a banderol with the text: JE MAINTIENDRAI   ZIJ DIE GELUK BRENGT(I will survive, she who brings happiness.) Surrounded on the rim with foliage and putti and the text:
31 JANUARI BEATRIX  1938
30 APRIL REGINA  1980 (Queen)

and an orange edge (Orange = Royal Family.)
Signed on the back in underglaze blue for:
