A good brass and copper engraved tobacco box of oval form with the rare hinged trapezoid brass lid engraved with two scenes. The first with a love couple, a standing cow and the woman with the Dutch text:

En de soute zee geeft soete vis en een jonge mijt brak water pist. And the salty sea gives sweet fish and a young woman pees salty water.
The bottom engeved with a woman, a leaving sailing vessel en two men with the text:
Soete lieve Neeltije, Geeft mijn u roosje, ik Geef u 2 peertjes Met een steeltje. Sweet lovely Neeltje , show me your little rose - I give you two little peaches with a litlle stem.
The copper sides with a running deer with hunting dog and hunter, the other side with a running hare and hunting dog.
