Antique German Gothic 15th Century Brass Candlestick, SOLD

The candlestick is cast in two pieces. The socket with the conventional Gothic integral-drip base form, with a round moulding at the raised rim, tapering sides and a angled moulding at the bottom. The to the base joined shaft, decorated with three discoid knops under the pierced tapering nozzle. The stem is seperated from the base and made shorter. Restaurations on the base.
