The rare large Japanese Imari charger in perfect condition and with the unusual size of 55 cm.. ( 21.7 inches. )
The dense underglaze blue floral scrolling in red, pink, blue, green and aubergine enamels with gold overlapped by large reserves in white, red and gold extending to edge of rim, one kidney-shaped, one four-lobed, others fan-shaped or as poem slips, containing shishi, eagle and floral designs. On the reverse, red flowers with blue leaves.
