Antique Hand Painted Polychrome “New-Delft” Commemorative Plate - 1923. Silver Jubilee Queen Wilhelmina. SOLD


This Nieuw - Delft polychrome tin glazed earthenware plate commemorating the 25th anniversary of Wilhelmina as Queen of the Netherlands. Decorated in multi colours within the center the crowned coat of arms of the Netherlands with under a banderol with JE MAINTIENDRAI (I will survive)  and 1898 – 1923 surrounded with two branches with the Apples of Orange.
The rim with in green the text:
WILHELMINA KONINGIN DER NEDERLANDEN
Only 760 plates were made.
Signed on the back in underglaze blue with factory mark 6 with a bottle & DELFT.
