The rectangular Delft cloisonné tile decorated in colours with an Amsterdam canal with the tower of the Wester-church and the skyline of New York with a Skymaster Douglas C54a, de military version of he   DC4 of Royal Dutch Ailines (KLM)  In the bottom a ribbon with the text:

NEDERLAND HERRIJST - KLM  BEWIJST - 1946  (Holland Revises, KLM demonstrates) (For the English market  = Holland Arises to greater things KLM spreads her wider wings  - 1946). Marked on the back with the impressed factory mark for: 

DE PORCELEYNE FLES -  ROYAL DELFT

DELFT - HOLLAND - ANNO  1946

Employment dates 1938 - 1982.
